Did you ever get this fixed? I had a problem similar to yours a while back and found the problem to be in the relay for the "4 High" wiring. Replaced the relay and all was good again
I think you would have to just redo the wiring set up to make it work for an obs. Check out this link for a schematic.

When I hooked up my 2nd battery, didn't bother with an isolator, hooked batteries in parallel but grounded each battery...

Hhhhmmmmm dont know if I would trust using zip ties. The spring has a fair bit of tension when compressed. Spring compressor was only bout 5 buks and saved me alot o hassle when I changed my door pins
I would also recommend you do the "Big 3 Upgrade" also if you haven't done so yet. (see in tech info forum)

Have you sold this yet? If not, I would be interested in it. I have a grey one meant for a non rear a/c model and need one to fit a rear w/ ac. The one I have is 64 3/4" extended and bout 63" when endcaps pushed together. One I need is bout 1 3/4" shorter I believe.
