For a cell phone holder, I like ProClip. I had one in my 05 Tahoe, my 08 Tahoe, and now my 16 Yukon. Doesn't take up the cup holder and no holes, adhesives, etc - just clip-on mounting. Instructions are viewable at the web site. www.proclipusa.com

Not sure, but I think to get the label back, you can hold the preset button (as if you are storing it), and the preset label will show the name once again.
The noise you're hearing is from the navigation DVD. It is quite normal and I think it activates when you open the door. The navigation DVD is behind the screen.

That switch you're referring to on the center console, below the HVAC controls, is (was) the heated wiper fluid switch. These were recalled and disabled by the dealer and are inoperable.
Glad to hear it worked for you. I know the last time it happened to me, I had to repeat it several times, but finally, it worked. Nothing better than free Internet help.

Almost 105,000 (mostly highway) miles on my 2005 Tahoe. Bought in November 08 with 44,000 miles. Oil changes every 3k. Recently: Transmission flush (no problems) at 100k; radiator flush at 75k; brakes all the way around at 80k. Rear seal was leaking, had fixed with the brakes. Should be good...

One click over from A, is the accessory position, or B, as the manual correctly states. The little battery light will light up, but you shouldn't get air blowing out of vents on this position.
