Bass boost= distortion
for a low power system like that all you need is your big3 done and a decent battery like a deka intimidator
900 watts shouldnt cause lights dimming what so ever, let alone from that kenwood amp.
willing to bet your setup isnt setup correctly as far as gain as well..
no...
ive done many car stereo's and an active member in a few audio clubs. i dont know it all and wont ever proclaim to but im knowledgeable about quite a bit. what i dont know i can always ask some ppl that do know...
dont put no alpine amp on the hdc315's... and 1000rms will tease them. they're conservatively rated for ppl that dont understand how to properly set gains, ppl that use bass boost which is nothing more than distortion, ppl that dont properly know how to use a bass knob ETC..
id get at least a...
i wouldnt get those tw67 tweeters, very splashy and can't handle the volume imo i've hooked them up for a friend and neither one of us liked them.
as for your overall build, you have no need for 3 alts and 8 xs3100's with only 1 15 unless you were running 8k to the sub and it wouldnt last to...
usually with suv's and tahoes especially, subs up port rear is USUALLY the best overall setup.
get on a TL and see what setup is louder on a meter.
perhaps you need to do a mdf roof, expanding foam in the roof and some damping to the roof and hole truck
i kid i kid, but like i said to each his own.
My barefoot MM27's and Adam s3x's cost more than most NBS trucks do and are known for some of the most accurate reproduction of music but since grills arent even made for them they may look tacky or unfinished to Knobz :hands:
but since you like...
well speakers dont put out power, the amps do but i understand what you were saying.
ks65 are at the top of your budget, dont get loud enough for those of us that have 5-6000+ rms stereo systems but they dont sound that bad.
Kappa 652.9i are at the top of your budget too.. sound better than...
well seeing that i have 14k worth of speakers infront of me currently with out grills no it wouldnt look tacky at all.. maybe your taste just sucks...lol
to each his own
well dont use grills if you wanted dual 6.5's
im doing dual 6.5's in front and back and my mids are massive too, a big larger than avg 6.5's
little fabrication to the front much more to the rear doors.
my tape player slot i modified to fit my VCM and Clarion eq.
as for 5x7's just go with a better set of 6.5's in all doors, perhaps pro audio since you have a sub already.
if you dont mind a little fabrication put 8's in your doors...
plug and play.
00 should be a 4pin. i currently have a 300 amp alt with 3 more 300amp alts on a custom bracket that are about to go along with it in a few weeks
i forgot i had a different account on here.
the 10s didnt work out very well in the doors so i did 8's but thats long gone. i didnt know what i was doing and messed up my panels lol. now that i have new panels.
new build soon to start is:*moving slow b/c i have 3 kids and daycare is about 2k a...
that box is gigantic for a sa15.. 7cubes... sa15s can take plenty of power. seen a sa8 on a ns1.. lol
but your box is big enough for 2 sa15s. i helped build one for 2 sa15 that was 7.15 cubes
sa15 with a 1500, id do 3-3.5cubes tuned between 32-35hz
you can fit dual 6.5's
JK did it

i have 6.5's in all door now but plan on doing dual 6.5's in every door or single 8 in everyday
ok thanks.
whats the rectangle box at the back of the fuel tank? i take it thats the Vapor Canister Check Valve? b/c thats what it looks like...
im not sure if that needs to be replaced.
i was told if i have a p0440 its one of 3 or 3 of these:
The gas cap is not installed or working...
damn im wandering if thats the issue with mine..
i had a friend change my pump and ever since i've had a CEL.
truck runs great but its time for emissions right now and i gotta get it done to get my updated tag.
i know he didnt remove any box when he dropped the tank.
i checked the code and...
mine work when they want to.
ive been told to use a flat head and scrape the pins and use some alcohol on a qtip to clean the pins.
95% of ppl that have done it say its works. i'm gonna try mine this weekend
