    Same here had low voltage issue at Reverse light in the beginning but fixed with better ground. Make sure you are getting 12+ volts to the reverse light or how ever you have it connected. 11 volts will not turn camera and LCD on.

    You guys should really check out the Tech section on people that have already installed tails. No you don't need to match front LEDs if you put LED's in the rear. The 3057 bulb will cause hyperflashing, cruse control issues, and on 03-up will cause bulb out on dash if that's what you are asking...

    Just got a tune from a local person that does a ton of GM vehicles local. It is a totally different truck. Would highly recommend a tune.     Great. I would also check to see if the reverse lights slightly glow at night when the truck is on. If they do you would want to put a small diode in line on that wire. Sometime the deck will supply a small amount of power out causing this. If not you should be good. Glad it's working.

    The "black thing" could be a resistor or could be a diode. Me personally I would just buy a new harness if you can find one. If you cant I would start with searching for the unit on Google with terms like "reverse wire not working" see if anybody has taken one apart to see what inside.

    For that price you can get a very capable single DIN unit, installation kit. You would then have Bluetooth, aux port, USB support, and more modern electronics. Unless you like the look of your old deck WAY TOO MUCH!!!

    4-cylinder RPMs same as V8 RPMs?

    Rpms from a 4cylinder with the same gear ratio as a 8cylinder will be at the same speed mph wise. 4 cylinders have been V's in the past but the preferred is inline and opposable, like VWs, Porsche, and Subaru.

    It should but also check your manual if you have one. They may have specific zones for Europe also. I could not imagine drive such a gas hog in France I would assume you get lots of dirty looks. Lol
