Battery light on after replacing alternator

My buddy thought that would be his next thought. So if I have a voltage gauge telling me 14. Is it worth getting a IPC on an old Tahoe? Just so the light won’t be on. Or is there an underlying fear?

Battery light on after replacing alternator

Yes. Engine off. Key out. Light stays on a little longer than the interior lights. 145 amp. I want to say the old was 105. It was 3 months ago. My best friend owns his own shop. He ordered this from O’Riellys. He said at that time to get a bigger Amp alternator with the wider belt. So...

Battery light on after replacing alternator

I have a 2003 tahoe Z71. I replaced the alternator 3 months ago. The battery light came on just now with the gauge still reading 14. So I assumed the alternator was bad. So I replaced it. The voltmeter shows the battery at 14.26 while running. The alternator is new. Not rebuilt. The...

    4x4 in neutral

I replaced the selector switch last Sunday so it's been exactly one week. It has not done it again. It was doing it about once every day. So I'm hoping the problems solved. Thanks for the help.

    4x4 going into neutral

This this will be my next step. I replaced the 4x4 selector switch yesterday. Drove about 80 miles since. Hasn't done it again, but not enough time or miles have passed. No codes or engine lights. If I replace the encoder/actuator, will I have to re-flash the computer? Thanks.

    4x4 going into neutral

2003 Tahoe Z71. I bought used about 3 weeks ago. This has happened about five times now. While driving, the 4x4 light on the push button panel will be on the red neutral. It does still drive, although sluggish a bit. I have to pull over, and go through the process of getting the transfer...

How to fix Hot Air when A/C is on. Install new air mix/blend door actuator

Done. Works great. Thanks for the post. Didn't need to mess with the center console. Don't know what I was thinking. That one $&%#£€ bolt really pushed me to my limit.

Ok. I have the same issue with hot air only on drivers side. Is there a thread that shows how to remove the center console to get to the actuator? Can't seem to find it. 2005 Tahoe.

Are there issues with removing battery?

I have a 2005 tahoe. I'm needing to remove the battery to get to the washer fluid container. Are there any issues with removing the battery? I'm afraid When I re-install the battery, something may not work properly or I will get an error not allowing me to start the SUV. Maybe something I can...
