So I had the opportunity to help my buddy out and really test the towing of the escalade.
I had a ecoboost f150 that I got rid of recently and it always towed well and had an intergrated brake controller and I'd average about 11mpg on 87 octane driving 70MPH at about 6000lbs of weight.
With...
I'll drive the escalade into the ground. It's too versatile for what I need. I can tow a car across country, haul a family of mormons, drive it in a blizzard, and take it out for date night. I would regret getting rid of it unless I was replacing it with another one.
Yeah I could see that being the case. The clutch kit above contains that bearing (on the right) that you are speaking about or is there a bearing inside the actual compressor itself? I figured I'd be replacing both the bearing and clutch but probably just leave the original coil since it's...
Hi all, so I'm trying to diagnose this noisy coming from the compressor on my 2010 Escalade. It sounds like a grinding noise and come and goes with RPM or if the car is started cold. The car blows cold air fine and the clutch engages and disengages fine as well. Anyway I'm almost certain it's...
Sorry just getting back to this thread. Here is what I bought for my 2010. Keep in mind it has Magnetic Ride so parts will be different for older trucks

It's got dual puller fans which most turbo front mount guys go to pushers. Looks are deceiving as the turbine has some distance from the shroud and I also put a blanket on the turbine as well to keep things from melting. Worked fine with the smaller turbo. This is just mocked up so I can...
Thanks for the nice words fella's. I don't really have any big plans for it. i replaced the rear shocks and compressor. I had a squeaky idler pulley and the tensioner looked just as bad so I replaced both of those. Replaced the belt. Just small stuff to keep it running and sounding better...
I'm not sure if there is a way to disable the SSS message. You could fix the issue by either replacing the compressor or a rear shock depending on which has failed. If the compressor is still working then it's probably a rear shock that is either blown or the sender has stopped communicating.
Thanks fella's. To answer one guys question it has 110k miles on it. Mostly highway miles at least.
As for the TA here are a couple shots since some of you guys like to creep the garage (I do the same thing lol)
Hi guys, I'm new here and figure I'd sign up and share. I picked up a 2010 Escalade the previous week for the wife. We need an Urban Assault Vehicle to tow and carry the family around with so this fit the bill. I got a good deal on it as there were things I had to fix with the suspension but...
