    Takata Air Bag recall

Living in the zone which they have deemed to be "safer", I would like to point out that we have seen temperatures in the high 90's for much of the summer. I , for one, would be happier if they would simply remove the potentially dangerous airbag and replace it at a later time, when the parts are...

I have a 2007 HOE 4x4 without autoride and shocks and struts are out, needs to replace

I would think almost any auto service shop could handle the job, rears are really as simple as any other vehicle, and the fronts are just coilovers. All they need is truck spring compressor. Shouldn't be a problem.

    Oil in the Intake Plenum

    I used an RX can : http://www.rxspeedworks.com/product/catch-can-kits/ Lots of others though : http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/get-a-catch-can-before-any-mods.49716/page-36#post-974975 http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/catch-can-unboxing-installation-video.66769/

    Oil in the Intake Plenum

Happens because of a combination of poor PCV design and the AFM function. Shutting off AFM cured mine, but I also installed a catch can to prevent this.

    2007 Yukon updated valve cover.

12611059 is the number stamped on mine. Haven't gotten around to installing it yet. My 5.3 hasn't used any oil since the afm was disabled.

Does removing V4 hinder mileage THAT much?

Very slightly if at all, but since they use less oil, you're money ahead without it.

'13 Tahoe - Front shocks easy to replace?

I used a parts store compressor, but it didn't grip the spring very well. Held my breath the whole time.

'13 Tahoe - Front shocks easy to replace?

Not terrible, but the fronts are coil overs so you need a good spring compressor to do it safely.

DIY coding of driver door switch module?

Check your vin on the website. If the calibration can be used , that will confirm it.

DIY coding of driver door switch module?

@08grey I did find this : http://www.chevyavalanchefanclub.com/cafcna/index.php?topic=92465.5;wap2 Looks like it applies to the door lock function, should be easy enough.

DIY coding of driver door switch module?

I'm not sure about that. They have tech2win, which basically duplicates the diagnostic functions of a gm tech2 and tis2web which allows you to flash the modules. So, anything the dealer can do should be available. But, they don't really describe all the capabilities in detail on the website...

07 Tahoe LT Double Din w/ Speakers Install

The LT should have the regular bose setup, the amp is under the console toward the back, the sub is uder the console toward the front. The only crossover is for the sub, all the other speakers are connected full range. Front tweeter in parallel with the front doors, rear pillars in parallel with...

DIY coding of driver door switch module?

Should be able to turn off autolock with the dic only, wouldn't need any extra equipment. The tis2web is for flashing new modules, or reflashing existing modules with updated firmware

DIY coding of driver door switch module?

What disturbs me is that in other countries, they offer a 1 hour subscription for 4 euros. Why can't we get that deal in the US? I'd also like to see a rental option for the hardware interface, it's not something I'd need to use often.

DIY coding of driver door switch module?

If you have a j2534 pass through, you can flash the module with a pc using a subscription to tis2web. Not inexpensive, but it can be done. http://www.acdelcotechconnect.com/shop-program/psc-program/tis2web/ http://www.drewtech.com/technician/products/index.html

    Cadillac key fob on Tahoe

I believe you would need a j2534-1 pass through interface and a subscription to acdelco tis2web to program. Not exactly cheap, might be easier to find a shop with this ability.

    New System Options

@gwarner Looks like a major improvement, better screen, better looking display. Proving once again, it's always the wrong time to buy. Maybe they'll be some closeout pricing on the 9902s.
