    Yes, I've always used 87 where i live. It will of course get more thirsty if i get happy with the pedal, but i get a bit of satisfaction of seeing nice MPG numbers and having the AFM do what it was designed to do, while still knowing there's 420 HP available if i want it.

    Hi, No Delete. I retained the AFM and installed all new stock factory parts. I enjoy routinely getting 22 to 24 Hwy mpg.

    well, interesting question. I do my own work, so when i had the heads off I removed all the valves and had to wire brush the intakes. they were all caked with serious carbon buildup. see pic. But No, i didn't install a catch can. But i now know why some folks do.

    You might need to update the transmission cooler thermostat device. Here is the GM TSB that shows the change that lowers the temp from about 190 to about 158. Mine runs about 160 all the time.
