That looks great!
How's the wind noise with that front end? I'm sure mileage drops a little too. But who really cares, it's probably great for it's purpose and looks good.
Whenever I'm driving in the cold/snow and want to know the temp, I just click the home button on the radio, see the temp, and quickly click back into CarPlay.
It's annoying, but I do that little sequence so quickly now that I've gotten used to it and don't think much of it.
To my knowledge, on...
Got home from a 3600 mile drive up to north Idaho, Montana and back. Truck ran solid and didn't skip a beat.
I had cruise control set at ~89-90mph for about 11 hours on Interstate 15 from Vegas through Utah, southern Idaho, and into Montana. Averaged around 19mpg, which given the bigger tires...
I always just use AC Delco Dexron VI.
I use a harbor freight hand pump and ~15 feet of some clear tubing from Home Depot and I shove it down the fill tube and pump out roughly a gallon and then refill a gallon. (Therefore it’s it’s not a full drain and refill, but more of a refresh of a large...
Today I also changed my transmission fluid, as I do every ~10k miles. Worth the time and money for longevity sake. Keeping it at fresh as possible cannot hurt.
Went back in and installed the magnaflow muffler using exhaust clamps for now. The muffler delete was too much for my wife.
Seems like less drone with the magnaflow which is nice for the long road trips for snow season.
Bout to drive 4000 miles up to north Idaho, Montana and back soon.
I was surprised as well because normally muffler deletes sound terrible in my opinion too. I think the resonator still being there is a big part of it.
Took the step of cutting out the factory muffler today and exhaust clamping in a straight pipe for now (kept resonator). I'll tackle the magnaflow muffler another time. It sounds great with the muffler delete and keeping the resonator in the rear.
Yeah your truck sounds great with that borla. I need that sound!
But as someone who does 99% of the work on all my vehicles myself, I understand what you mean.
Contemplated getting underneath and cutting out the factory muffler and installing the magnaflow muffler that I've had sitting in my garage for like 2 years. Couldn't get the guts to cut it today and use exhaust clamps and extra piping to put it back together with the magnaflow. But I got close...
Rides great, nice and smooth. Towing with them is just fine, cruising at 88mph on interstate 15 for hours on end is also totally fine.
I'm actually on my second set of these BFG KO2's 275/70/18. Got 50k out of the first set.
Their performance in the snow is what's convinced me to stick with...
Finally got it tuned. By my buddy Ryne Cunningham of BRC Raceworks. Drives much smoother, accelerates much cleaner. Transmission shifts feel better. Noticeably makes more power.
As a result, my Range AFM disabler is for sale now...
Selling my used Range Active Fuel Management (AFM) Disabler. I was using it on my 2019 Tahoe for the last year but finally decided to tune it to disable it, so I have no use for this now.
Bought new for $221.
Looking to sell for $150 obo.
It looks brand new. Still have original packaging...
