    I've had great luck with Mechman alternators. First you need to determine the total amperage draw of all your aftermarket devices to make an informed decision. There's also a number of other variables in this equation but total amperage draw is a good place to start.

    Both trucks look like fun projects. My best buddy also runs 26's on his truck but he went to the darkside and bought a 2023 150 Platinum. I tap out at 22's and really prefer 20's mostly because I have 3 women at home with me. Not that this is an issue but aren't both trucks 2000-2006 models?

    Don't forget how easy the center console is to modify for a capacitive charger. It took me $10 in parts and 15min in a parking lot with hand tools. I fully agree the cubby is illogical.
