Ok for the vehicle to idle for 3-5 hours?

I wouldn't do it. Buy a backup generator that runs on propane.

91 octane vs e85 in flex fuel Tahoe/suburban?

    I would use 91 octane.

    Diesel Appropriate?

You couldn't GIVE me a diesel vehicle. They're noisy, they smell, and for some reason, the people that own them will almost never turn them off. They just LOVE to let them idle. Go with gasoline.

    2023 Tahoe/oil additives

I wouldn't do any oil additives. My dealership tried to push those on me and I discovered the owners of the dealership also had a financial stake in the oil additive company.

    2025 Tahoe Premier Build Questions

Make certain the vehicle comes with Apple CarPlay. Some GM models do not. You might not care, but the person you sell the vehicle to later will.

    best mods so far...

I immediately did several things. I permanently disabled engine Stop / Start. This will improve engine life, as well as safety. I also disconnected the daytime running lights. I can turn them on manually if I want to, but two government studies have shown NO safety benefit to driving with your...

    OEM parts on Amazon?

I would also avoid them. Returns are risky. People who return too much get their accounts permanently closed. Sometimes with no warning. Buy from an auto parts distributor.

    2022 Tahoe Automatic Emergency Braking

My experience is the same as yours. I don't know a safe way to test it. Mine will sometimes give me an alert when there are parked cars on a curve.

I'll give you one little tip. If you ever do get things sort of resolved. Do not do any more updates.

    New 24 Tahoe!

I have the same vehicle, even the same color. My improvements were to permanently disable engine stop-start to extend engine life and improve safety. The daytime running lights have also been permanently disabled.

    Yukon vs Wagoneer Comparison

One advantage to the Wagoneer is that you can program the daytime running lights to be permanently off. With GM vehicles, you must turn them off on every key start or modify them to be off as many people do.

    DFM disabler released

Their website says this product is designed for "refresh models" in reviewing my paperwork for my 2022 Tahoe, I can see no reference to the word "refresh".

    2023 PPV

The Police versions are nice. They already have many of the upgrades that people do after they get their vehicles. NO daytime running lights, an engine stop-start is permanently disabled. This will save you the trouble and expense of making these corrections yourself.

    2025 new tahoe/suburban feature wishlist

I have these items on my new Tahoe. Engine stop-start permanently disabled. Daytime running lights permanently disabled. 12V power ports stay alive all the time. Car will idle indefinitely. Accessories will remain on indefinitely. (Great for drive-in movies). If you know a little bit about...

The lawsuit should have been for more $

Permit me to help with insurance decisions, simple. If you can afford to take the loss without it affecting your lifestyle, then do not buy the insurance. I insure my car, I ensure my house. that's it. I don't get insurance for my iPhone, items I buy at Walmart, etc. I probably paid for my last...

    2023 Suburban Premier 5.3L 4WD - Observations and Questions

On my new Tahoe, the "must have upgrades" 1) Install device that permanently overrides engine stop-start. There's a good chance the vehicle already has it. I use the one that installs behind the dash, it retains full functionality, but it remembers your selection and KEEPS it that way. 2)...

I would change your oil more frequently. I change mine every 3,000 miles. There may be restrictions on this if you live in California.

    2022 Yukon Window Tint

I have window film on my windshield and all other windows. Zero problems. I have actually tested a variety of window tinting. My goal was to block UV-A, this is believed to be a cause of skin cancer. After testing about six different types. I found that “XPEL” did the best job. You cannot find...

    ECU software

Other undesirable features such as auto engine shut off and other automatic timers are also disabled. It is possible to...

Traiding in 2021 Tahoe High Country for 2021 Escalade worth it?

Part of the decision-making process on the Escalade is if they've already had various corrections completed. For example, is the engine stop-start disabled already? Are the daytime running lights already disabled. If these updates have been done on the car it could add to the decision-making...

2023 Tahoe RST 6.2L Engine Stopped - starts with rattle

Hyper complexity in order to squeeze out another 1 mile per gallon. I can see why people with the mechanical skills try to DE-Detroit their engines.
