This has been an ongoing issue for 75k miles, sometimes when I shut my truck off and go to restart it.... it will start for a split second and then shut off and will not stay running, when it does this the security light blinks at the top right corner of the gauge cluster. I have to sit for almost exactly 10min and then the damn security light will be solid and the truck starts as normal like nothing ever happened. It has not happened to me in almost a year and now within the last month it has done it 4 times and now once yesterday and once today, its getting annoying how can I fix this issue?

Thanks

It sounds like you may have an issue with the ignition cylinder or a worn out key. The key or ignition may not be getting a good contact, which sends the proper signal from the key to the pcm. Happens quite a bit with gm vehicles equipped with the pass-key systems.

The key is not the issue it does it with either set, i just find it odd how randomly the issue occurs and how it takes exactly 10min to clear itself

GM security systems, when tripped, do take exactly 10 minutes to reset. 10 minutes is longer than any thief is going to sit there and wait.

On your Denali, neither the lock cylinder or key have anything to do with the theft feature of the truck. The Pass-Lock sensor is located on the lock cylinder "case".......the part that the cylinder fits in to. For reference, that case part number is 26049449. As the Pass-Lock sensor is starting to fail, it will continue to do this more and more.
