I upgraded my 01 Sierra Bumper lights with leds before about 6 months and want to share some pics of the progress with you GMC owners and fans.
first to know that I installed a clear signal lights shown in the picture (not crystal clear but like OEMs just without orange corner) . we know that inside the bumper light or signal light there are 3 bulbs . one bulb is for the day running light which I connected with the second bulb which is the signal light , third bulb is corner parking light .
Day Running light : changed to V-Leds Platinum 5K white 20 leds bulb. couldn't find it in vleds site maybe discontinued. but there are amber and 6K in their site.
Main Signal bulb : Changed to V-Leds 5K WHITE AMBER DUAL COLOR TYPE 2 CHANGING SWITCHBACK 92 TURN SIGNAL BULBS. you can find them here
Corner Parking light : Changed to V-Leds 5K WHITE 4 LED 2W HIGH POWER BULBS 194. you can find it here .
for the record , I put another 2W 5Ks as map light for the Sierra and My 97 Yukon I love the output very bright and durable.
this is a picture for the upgrade in the Sierra's Bumper light .
that's for the bumper light, Now let's see Roof lights .
They are also from V-leds as my best LED supplier as they provide high quality products .
Leds used in the roof : 5K WHITE 19 LED 8W HIGH POWER BULBS 917 918 920 921 922 923 579 . very bright and eye appealing at night and sunset time . you can find them here .
*Note : it won't fit in the housings unless you loosen the bulb base but it will not be a problem at all you won't notice it's even loosen inside tight yellow roof lights . and center 3 bulbs are connectet to 1 harness or get it soldered to 1 wire just like factory setup.
this picture is taken before doing center big light just to compare stock bulbs and those bright leds.
