02 Tahoe won't turn over

Lights all come on when I try to start it but the engine won't even crank. Onl y noise I hear is a fan trying to kick on. Have had no problems wth the vehicle so no previous indicators of issues. Thanks for your thoughts and suggestions

My 2001 z71 did this and it was the starter that went out. Once replaced it was good to go

You have no electric fan on an 02 unless you added it. Most likely its the starter motor spinning but not engaging the teeth on the flywheel. The starter motor spinning could sound just like a fan motor.
