I was thinking you could take some old style upper shock bushings and trim them and add washers as needed. They have a 3/8" hole in the center of them. Get the sharp knife ready and don't cut yourself.

Good idea. I was thinking along the same lines. Maybe just look through some different ones at the junkyard and see if I can find anything that fits or can be easily modified. Just need to get it bolted up well enough for it to stay on there.
