Wow...that looks really good. I'm going to have to do that now.

Project on the table now is a 1000w power inverter install with USB. I should have the inverter mid-week so we'll see how it goes.

Just found this one on amazon...I think I'll order it. SPDT round rocker with center off. I'm going to check Fry's for this since Amazon is $2 plus $5 shipping...other sites have it for $1. Just for reference...simple clean round rocker...

Um... cant wait to see next project, dont think i'll need that.

Man that switch is cheaper than the ole cheapo i got. I paid i think 2.50 or something. Just not really sure where to mount it for easy access. Im still going to get another switch, mine is kind big. I like the one you posted w/ a lil blue led lighting it up. that would be sweet.

Yep. A+. Just need to do it with patience. What are you doing next. Lol. What y'all think? Only footwells. (thanks chris)

No problem man, anytime!! I lack patience all the time, suprised I haven't ripped more projects out midstream more often!! ha ha ha

By the way, looks great!

Well, I just ordered that switch so I think I'll have another little wiring project to do in a few days. I didn't think of trying to control them independently of courtesy but I like the idea.

did you order it from amazon for the 5buck shipping. Thats crazy, you know they can just throw it in a packaged envelope.

Where you plan on sticking it at? I thought about getting a cargo light or something out of a truck and putting it by the traction button, the blank spot, well on mine anyway. Then it looks stock.

Got to say though, i still love the mess out of mine. Washed it last nite and turned the outside lights off, (house) and turned them on idependently, looked amazing. Even had someone stop and ask about them. lol

I ordered a handfull of them to keep around. Shipping sucks but I found a few other sites that had them but they were more for shipping. Not sure yet where I'll put the switch...still thinking about it...

Im no electrical engineer either but make sure that you do not backfeed that courtesy wire when you run them on the ON position with the toggle switch. You could possibly screw up the BCM.

BTW - Awesome mod. Im going to have to get some white LED strips for mine. That is retarded that they dont have any lights down there.

How would i know if i did or not. everything seems to be just fine going on 2 days w/ them on the switch. Meaning they are on w/ the courtesy lights now, the switch is in that position. But how would i know if its messing something up? WOuldnt the switch not allow it to back feed b/c of it cutting the current off?

It won't harm the courtesy circuit because it completely isolates the courtesy from the constant power by it being on a switch like what he is using!! If he was tapping the courtesy circuit power into the constant power side of the switch, then all he would need is a diode and he would be good to go!!
