Great guide! I ended up getting the 4 pack of white LED strips off ebay, and soldering them directly to the courtesy 12v wire. Got the driver's side done this afternoon, and it looks awesome. Especially since my superbrightLEDs.com order came in and I switched out all the interior bulbs for pure white LEDs. I'll post back with pics when I get it all done.

Did these last week. Wired them up to a constant 12v source with a switch. Switch can be seen between steering wheel and AC vent. Have to find a piece of plastic to mount it inside that cubby. It just sits there now.

Finished the front 2 footwells, gonna have to wait till the weekend or something to get the other 2 done. But here's what I got so far. I've also done a complete inside LED swap. It's like high noon in there with all the lights on. Thanks for the guide!

I dont understand the point of the adapters. Did you have the front LEDs hooked up before install? I have an '03 z71, and I dont have the 4 sided adapters to plug a socket for an LED. The link is dead, but I found one on superbrightleds http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&category=CAR&Page2Disp=%2Fspecs%2FT10_sockets.html

However, when I hooked up my multi to my door jam (ground) and to the grey wire on that plug, with my rig running, it read that the dome over-ride with the adjustment of the dimmer was 0.05-0.1. EDIT* at 20v

I am going to simply wire it straight to the ground and the grey wire. I have 39.5 in. of UV LEDs coming, I will post pics.

Where did you buy the power lead 194 adapters for the strips and 194 sockets from? I love this in my 2001, goin to do this in my tahoe now.

There is no reason you should need either of the adapters. Just ground it and wire it to the grey wire on that plug and it will be connnected to your dimmer. Just be sure that you buy a 12v LED strip so you wont need resistors.

superbrightleds.com does have the twist 194 adapters, but unless you just want wedge bulbs only up front, dont waste your money

Are there new links to the products used? I tried the ebay link, and there were no items... and the 194 website said out of stock.

Just want to make sure I buy the right stuff before I get started. I'm going to have to run my wire through the carpet, or on the side somehow as I don't have the middle console in my tahoe.
