03 tahoe LED dome light

pretty much, but i dont get what people did in the pics of the dome lights. I have never actually pulled mine and looked at the back

The OP installed a relay to keep the dome voltage at 12 because it dropped to 8 after switching to leds.That worked but still presented a few glitches. So, now we're suggesting running a constant 12v up to the domes and connect it to the positive side of each switch in parallel. Then adding diodes if back feeding voltage occurs.

and from what i read this fixes all of the lights right? And i assume by looking at teh tabs in one of the pics the dome light console thing just pulls off?

It's just theory right now. No one's actually tried it yet. And for the dome light console, I'm not sure how to get it down as I've never tried.

I thought that i read about someone doing it and the only problem was a buzzing. Different thread maybe?

No, that was this thread. The relay makes a buzzing noise as it 'goes to sleep'. The problem with that is you have to wake up the relay again.

meaning...Does it work? Is it worth me trying? or any other tests i could be the guinea pig for?
