My '03 Tahoe was broken into and attempted stolen, the ignition was jimmied and destroyed. Now after the Chevy dealer replaced the ignition and supposedly the steering column, the steering wheel wont lock when the truck is turned off and the key removed. I've only had the truck a few months, but I swear I thought the steering wheel locked when turned off and key is removed. Took it back to the Chevy dealer and they say the '03 Tahoe's dont have a locking steering wheel. Anyone know???? Thanks!

Believe they got rid of the steering wheel lock in 03. Whenever our wreckers bring them in, they have the wheel tied to the seat belt so it wont turn.

I see you are from the Houston too. I was parked at the Houston Harbor Freight at I45 & West Ave. 10:30 in the AM, beautiful sunny day, busy shopping center, cameras all around the area. Was inside for like 15 minutes. Houston is the capital of auto theft especially Tahoes and Chevy Pickups.
