So I have a question then. 2005 Z71 Tahoe, gas, no return line and regulator on the fuel pump. 180K on the clock.

I have had slight hesitation starting lately. It stalled on me once about 6 weeks ago when I was coming to a stop at a light.

Fuel pressure gauge is reading 48 KOEO. Pressure drops if I leave it, could be my gauge, but not sure.

Pressure gauge reads 58 when the engine is running.

If KOEO is well below spec, but running in spec. Am i still looking to replace the pump/regulator/filter assembly?

@OutandAbout is it a flex fuel truck? The pressures are different on those. FYI KOEO and running are two different specs. I'm unsure what spec is for running but it's probably a bit lower than KOEO.

I get 48 PSI KOEO but I have a 2001 w/ return line. Reviewing what everybody has here as I'm having some doubts about pressures. Flex and gasoline setups use the same pump (just a bit different sending unit). The regulators if you have return setup are also different part numbers.

FYI ~ Fiddling with my 1999 Corvette which has a return less fuel system. There's no mechanical regulator there either. Looking at these numbers from this post, I'm thinking return less may do a better job at maintaining pressure in the rail?
