We finally got snow in Michigan. I bought a nice 06 loaded XL with the chrome 20's in June. Well today I finally got to drive in the snow. First time I took off from a dead stop on snow the front left wheel area I hear a quick "scrape sound" like if you scraped ice off your window with an ice scraper. The vehicle drove fine in the snow so I'm sure the AWD is fine. But again the noise would quickly come when I took off from a slippery surface. Yes TC is always on.
Any idea if I have a bearing or axle or something that's starting to fail and I should get it looked at?
Like I said the AWD is working but I don't like to hear that noise when taking off on slippery roads.
