One thing to consider. The 07 was the first model year, and as always there were "bugs". A fair amount were with the active fuel management, which the 6.2's didn't have (denali).

I bought a 07 denali Xl last year, 61k on od. I have 86k now, only minor repairs, nothing major, and all done by me.

Things to look for:

1. See if the autoride (air) suspension is working, and holding air. I just replaced mine, wasn't holding air. If you load back, or stand on back bumper with key in ignition and on acces., you should hear the compressor fill shocks. If too light, get a few friends to help.

2. I took mine back to dealer and they replace interior b-pillar panels and one interior door pull. On door pull the chrome was flaking off and the interior b-pillars panels didn't fit well. There are TSBs on both.

3. Check your heated windshield button prob doesn't do anything. Gm recalled them all and just removed it. I added it back in, the company that makes them, rebranded and started up again. AlphaTherm, I think.

4. Check for oil leaks, I have a minor one now.

5. Check defroster tabs on back glass, notorious for coming off.

6. Check underbody for rust, especially under spare. Problem area, I had to POR-15 mine.

7. I've replaced both front cv axles. Check the boots/gators for cracks, leaking grease.

8. The Denali is close to needed new plugs. Kind of a pain to change, especially pass side rear. See if they'll change for u.

9. The stop lamp switches go on these. Easy check is if cruise control works.

10. Check/eject the nav DVD and see if it's been upgraded.

Other truck had been in two crashes one of which is was declared a total loss so that's out the door...this truck is clean as hell nothing wrong with it major except for these few things

Needs new passenger door chrome handle

Power lift gate doesn't work

Backup camera doesn't work

Any solutions to fix those things would be great !

If u got from a GM Dealer I'd get them to replace door handle. I pointed out the TSB on it and said my wife cut her hand and they replaced it free of charge.

Backup cam - take off the applique and check the connector. Likely that some moisture has gotten in there. Test, if nothing, then replace the camera. I may have one laying around - PM me if it ends up not coming up. Lift gate - make sure the switch on the overhead console is turned on. If it is, still no work - may be the actuator.

By the way - You made the right choice! Looks great! Polish those headlights!

I feel so stupid the only reason the tailgate wasn't working was because that button on the overhead console :chair: as for the camera I will have to pull off the applique when I get home later (babysitting the bosses kids now) I'll pm you if it still doesn't work....and thanks man! I did notice the headlights are a little hazy I'm definitely going to polish them up

9 times out of 10 it's the switch. I can't tell you how many people bring their vehicles back to the shop after a repair (could be front or rear end repair) to complain that their gate doesn't open anymore. Push the button they never even knew was there. Lol. Good luck with it!

I went through your same dilemma this past couple weeks. But my situation was a couple 08 denali's with over 100K vs. a 09 Yukon SLT with Nav/backup cam/DVD/Roof/20" wheels/etc. for 5K more and only 57K miles! Needless to say, I opted to save myself the cost of premium fuel and the lesser mileage in favor of the lower miles.

I will say though....I miss the power of the big 6.2......but its my wife's daily, so it'll be fine for her!
