Hey guys I am new to the forum but I am tired of trying to fix the ride on my yukon myself, this thing has been a great ride for my family and I, Earlier this year i thought i would change my rear shocks since it has 140k on it... Little to my knowledge at the time it has the zw7 smooth ride suspension... 3 sets of shocks later trying to figure out why it rides worse than before I have figured out a little about the zw7 shocks.. why GM cant figure what I even have on my truck just blows my mind, but anyway, I just want to convert my rear to conventional shocks and springs and need to part#'s to do so if any one has them? I have not changed the front struts but would like to so if you have a good set up and part#'s that will work for me I would more than appreciate it.. I was hoping for like a Bilstein setup if possible but shockwarehouse didn't really help much when i emailed them maybe they thought i was wanting the nivomat shock through them.. not sure.. This thing is bone stock with factory 20's if that matters!

I seen there are threads out there but there where for 06 and later models wasn't sure if they would be the same since the body style changed in 07!! Again thank you to anyone willing to help me through this!!

also I currently have the OEM AC-Delcco 540-433 that Gm sold me on the rear, the ride isn't horrible on the interstate or highway just rough and loud at low speeds hitting the cracks and joints in the road.

I did new shocks all the way around at about 70k miles. I got Bilsteins, like them much better than OEM., I don't think they are a direct swap for the smooth ride, but they can be adapted if you're willing to swap tje rear springs. For what it's worth, at 70k the rears were still in good shape, but the fronts were completely shot. It's easy to accidentally unplug the abs connections when doing the rear, and the front coil-overs are a pain. It's hard to find a spring compressor large enough to grab the coils securely.

Why is it I cannot even find the replacement nivomat shock for a 07 with zw7 RPO code. I even called a rep for Sachs they claim they don't have one for that year.. So what brand was on my truck? I just want to know what I had so I can determine if I want to replace with oe or actually change springs... I think the nivomats have a use in my day to day.. Any response would be great.. Thx
