10 inches too long for an exhaust tip on my **?

I want to order an exhaust tip that looks nice, but I have no idea about the length. Is 10 inches for an exhaust tip too long? I like a Borla tip that is 14 inches but im afraid its too long.

I dont want it to stick out, just something that gives it a nice look
