1157 to 3157 conversion

Has anyone changed out the front turn signal plug from an 1157 to a 3157? My 1157 plugs are in pretty bad shape and I'm going to replace them. Should I just change them with new 1157 or go with the 3157?

I believe the firmest on the lamp won't be the same. I suggest you to use new 1157 just like it was before.

Sorry that was my iPhone typing for me. I meant fitment. I have those 3157 connectors and can match the eBay price if you need them.
