15+ battery cable issues similar to previous generation?

Hey all. New to the forum, but not new to GMTs. My previous Yukon (08 6.2 AWD) had the notorious battery cable issue that plagued the entire electrical system. Is this a common theme with this newer generation as well? The truck is very sluggish to start (hot or cold) and apparently the infotainment screen flickered today on the wife. I'm relatively certain its ground/power cable issues like the previous gen, but was curious if this is common. Is it recommended to just replace with OEM cables or would anyone recommend going with a better quality cable. (welding cable?)

OEM but price search, do not pay Dealer full retail price. Amazon, Ebay, Rockauto should be a good start.

I need the factory cable numbers for my Tahoe, please. I have had the electrical issues that plague these vehicles and want to solve the issue. I also ordered a TCM because the truck just started doing the high rpm s between shifts of 1st and 2nd (I think). Tried the TCM reset and new filter / fluid - neither worked. Love my vehicle, hate the plagues. Last eight of my VIN : 7R415590

havent really heard of Big3 update issue w/ this generation.

some have mentioned loose ground cable. another mentioned corrosion on a cable & dealer replaced it
could also need software update

but some others have mentioned HMI was issue

Cheap fix is to run a 4 gauge cable from the ground battery terminal to the body...somewhere on the firewall.

The better way is to take it to a car audio shop and have them replace the factory ground cable with a 2 gauge cable with gold connectors. Mine was carroded on the inside of the rubber sheathing.

I think I may be dealing with this issue now...seems to me that there are issues with grounding points inside the vehicle under the dash and then with the negative battery cable where it mounts to the frame area. Have seen reports of a few "bad cables" on K2 trucks but in my research, it looks like it's just the points where they mount to the truck (behind the front tire - how moronic) is what is causing issues by and large.

I'm going to unhook, clean up and reinstall my grounds and see what happens. Did you ever figure out your issue?

My wife got off work to have our 2015 GMC Yukon SLT alert that the Stabilitrak, Park Assist Off, Left front turn indicator failure. It drove fine from her work to home. I got it and ran ODB code check, there were many. I did some reading on the online forums and it said something about checking battery cable. About 1 month ago I change the battery, and maybe the connectors had corrosion that I missed, I change the battery at night with bad lighting. Sure Enough the Negative battery cable was the problem. I clean terminal and the cable connector, and tighten down real good.
