Anyone on here had to have theirs replaced? Truck on the highway kicked up a rock and now I have to get mine replaced. I called a few local companies and Safelite. Safelite has the option for HUD or No HUD w/ Driver Awareness Package. The loca companies all say they can't get them without HUD and with the DAP which is how my LTZ is configured.

They all was $500+ and Safelite is $320 otd. Just kind of worried that the Safelite windshield doesn't have the Rainsense and Collision warning provisions in it.

Safelite replaced mine without any issues. I have the collision warning and rain sense wipers.

I would be worried the glass isn't acoustic.

Yeah, that's another of my worries.

I called and they said it does have all the provisions for the rain sensor, lane departure warning, and does have the acoustic interlayer. Guess we'll see when they bring it.

I forgot to mention, after the replacement the rain sensor and safety sensors are most likely not going to function right or at all. So you will want to set up an appt at your Chevy dealer of choice to have them reconfigured. The dealer may or may not charge you. Heck I'd even check into having the dealer do the windshield replacement. Unless they just flat out have a bad reputation... or see where the dealer recommends you go if they don't want to do it. I know on my Lexus and BMW the dealer was the best route. I've had tons of experience with windshield replacements but every Chevy dealer is different. I've been to a Chevy dealer where they didn't even balance their own tires/wheels. The next I went to couldn't believe that lol

Had my windshield replaced on my 2016 LTZ with non GM glass and lane keep assist and anything else to do with the front camera stopped working. Had to have glass replaced with GM glass and have not had any issues. Sounds crazy, but a GM service bulletin states if camera is not working and can't be calibrated, check for non GM windshield.

I have heard there are only a few companies left in the world that make auto glass. So dealers, safelite, and locals all get theirs from the same place. There is very little difference in quality. Just maje sure the mask fits your options (the black part has the right openings) and you will be fine.
