SUCCESS!!!

It's 12:30am out here and my eagerness to fix the horn finally made it work. I followed @2015TahoePPV advice, and gave one last chance in tracing the wire, lo and behold found few open ended wire near the fuse box.

First did a voltage check to find the horn wire and then did a continuity check from the horn plug to the open ended wire found in the loom near fuse box. Found the connection, used butt connector to make a connection and finally got it to work. Wish I had some heat shrink to wrap this up but used an electrical tape and got this to work. I don't know how to upload a video here but it finally works. I might make a YT video about this because there is literally no resources there.

Thanks again, I'll try to fix the aux connection moving forward.

Awesome! Glad you found it, I understand how frustrating this stuff is.

I have a weird new issue, after driving the ‘hoe for a while I have my reverse light turned on all the time. They stay on even after turning the car off.

I was able to turn them off by smacking the fuse box few times (just like the old TV ). I would like to know if someone had the same issue and if there is a way to fix it. There are no fuse for the reverse light from the manual. Would really appreciate it if someone can help.

I am planning to go on my first camping trip with this beast and want to fix all the issues.

I also learned that it has AFM and how I might be in trouble if I don’t turn it off. If anyone know any good resources to switch it off I would be grateful. I know I have to buy like a module that’s pretty expensive but if anyone know any cheaper and easier way that would be nice.

I had the same issue with my 2011 PPV. The reverse relay had failed. In the gmt900 that relay is hardwired into the main fuse panel. I swapped the entire thing out to repair it.

Just wanted to reach out the great people here for some help. So, I had a small impact on the driver side front fender and to fix the dents people up in chicago are asking for 1000$+ so I ended up ordering a replacement part but it came just primed and no color.

Went to o'Reillys, they gave me a duplicolor can. Came home and sprayed it out really nice in the garage. After it dried up I realized it has metallic in it . I have a U8555 which is just black. O'reillys don't really give a shit about this because I gave them my color code and they said this will work out.

Anyways, I am willing to sand, prime and repaint it but I can't find the actual paint. Found something on amazon and people over their have mixed reviews about it.

ACDELCO - ACDelco GM Original Equipment 19354940 Black (WA8555) Touch-Up Paint - 5 oz Spray
SEM - SEM 19423 Black Factory Pack Aerosol, 12 oz (Gm Wa8555)

All the paint shops near me are asking for 400-500$+ which lands me on the same price of fixing the dents. I am willing to buy an electric sprayer although never had any experience with it but if anyone knows or have had good experience with a particular spray can (or the ones I listed) please let me know. If not I am down to buy a sprayer and convert my garage in a small paint booth for this job. However, I still wouldn't know where to buy the paint from.

Any resources, advice are much appreciated.

I got so excited man. Spliced them up like this for now but it won’t honk.
I still cannot find mine
Do you have one tagged 6J4? If its a single pair of wires (in the same loom) that are cut/ open on the end, then splicing them together should make the horn work. The upfitter manul says that pigtail is in the under dash harness, but mine was in the pigtail between the seats.

This is what I had left when I removed my console, lol:
i can’t find this pigtail was yours under the center console or closer to the firewall ?

Thank you so much!! The way you described the "pair of wires (in the same loom)" finally got my to realize I wasn't looking for something in addition to this to connect them to but that it goes to itself. I going the 6J4 and thought I would be able to do it but with anything to connect it to I was at a loss, but never would I have thought it would just need to be connected like this. My 2019 PPV Tahoe horn is all good now, I was hours into this and I couldn't have done it without this post
