The selling price for the 15' SLT would be about 62,500 before tax. The 14' Denali would be 58,500 so $4000 difference.

The 15' has the same transmission, a smaller engine, updated electronics but no improvement in reverse camera or top view or anything you'd want in a new truck of this size. The new has the preferred styling.

My dilemma is that I want the second row bench. I can't find the options I want with the bench in the 15' so I'd be ordering and its looking like 12 weeks at this point.

The 14' is 200 miles away and is one of the few left with that bench.

What would you do?

I personally would wait for exactly what you want. Seems like you want the new body style but the bench seat. I'd say go ahead and order. I think you'd be surprised at how long it takes if your dealer has allocation and without constraints on features. You will be losing way more than $4K on the resale of the older model.

4000 bucks less, and it has what you want. 200 miles isnt that far for me, so I say go with the '14. Bigger engine and bench seat. :happy107:

Go with the 15.... The SLT is about the equivalent to the Esky Platinum that's been out. I'm totally happy with mine

I say 15 SLT....the 2015 is light years ahead of the old model...Its not even close. You can still get a good deal on the new one, shop around.

15 all the way. Light years away indeed. You will regret spending all that money on a 14 Denali that immediately feels far inferior.

I bought a '15 SLT XL, so I am biased... But, I don't think you will regret the '15. Better mileage and way ahead in the interior and tech department. Equipment on a '15 SLT far exceeds that on the '14 denali (with exception of the motor). Also based on lease residuals and other factors i think you would do much better on resale of the '15. If you want the last gen body style you might as well buy slightly used or CPO to save on the depreciation.

There were a few bench SLTs in Florida when I was looking. Dealers seemed to order them with the bench and no options. So, as long as you don't want a ton of options I bet you could find one to dealer trade. And you can probably get into a no or minimal option 2015 SLT XL for very low 50s. I got mine for $54 and change with Buckets, Nav, Tow package and 20s. If you want specific options you may have to order to get the bench.
