Update: after replacing the idler and pitman arms, most of the "shutter" going over bridge transitions is gone. It is almost acceptable now but still looking for a better ride.

Thanks Autumn, steering damper and steering box adjustment really helped even more. Steering is near perfect, not bad for a vehicle with 160,000 miles.
I would still like a softer ride, but I'll see if the sport shocks soften up a little.
Thanks again...

Happy to hear that you were able to improve it!

Just a quick up date, after about 500 miles or so the ride has soften up a bit to the point I'm quite happy. Thanks for the help guys....

Yeah, the two steering adjustments helped my rig more than I hoped for. Gotta get around to installing the steering damper at some point.

I installed the 2/3 kit on my 04 Tahoe with the street sport shocks, complete with shock extenders, free travel mod, and the proper rear end links. Running new to me 20" wheels, 31psi. Front end aligned, with new upper and lower control arms, rear air bags at 5psi. I like the look and ride on relativly smoth roads BUT, when I hit bride expansion/transition joints at 65/70 mph, the truck shakes violently. It is very unsettling to say the least.
Any thoughts on solving this issue?
I have a VERY similar setup and mine does the same thing. Every component of my front suspension has been replaced and/or upgraded in the past 6 months and it still does it. Please let me know if anything improves the situation.

Mine is fine on smooth roads and I have changed all the components you mentioned, but does it give a hard jolt when changing surfaces? I've put nearly 10k miles on mine in that time with no change.
