Sooner or later somebody will ask this, so I will go ahead and ask it now.

How in Hades do you put 200,000 miles on a 2007 vehicle????

Well, I inherited from my dad. We live in Bel Air MD which is a 78 mile round trip drive from his office by BWI. He also has an office in Philadelphia and has been doing sales all over MD VA and PA for years.

He drives almost 50,000 miles a year... Prior to this truck had 213,000 on an 03 Caddy DHS.

I'm just the lucky one who inherited it :hands:.

wow!! that's awesome!

Why did you need upper/lower control arms?

My family has gone to the same family owned shop for 20+ years. They were giving "excessive play" I don't know much about suspension but it was causing the outside of the tires to wear really quickly and gave a rougher ride. The ride had a noticeable difference when they were replaced (and no it wasn't an alignment issue for the wear)

Way to go!

Tell us about your oil (and trans) changes. How often? What products?

Basic oil changes at about 20% oil life and trans changes just according to the manual... 200,000 is a lot but most of the miles are highway miles which are MUCH easier than around town miles. Just keep up with the service!

It's good to see your truck still running strong! And I am sure it was/is a nice truck to inherit :Handshake:

You would be surprised how many miles one puts on a vehicle when they drive it every day, and have to drive an hour+ to work, and then the same drive back home. It really starts to add up. Highway miles are always better on a vehicle though, so that's good.

It just goes to show what regular maintenance, and a little love from an owner can do for a vehicle!

Damn my hoe is a 94 and it only has 17x,*** miles on it. It has a freshly overhauled engine and basically new transmission. :)

Again, I will have to ask the obvious.......

170,000 mles with a new engine and transmission?

When new, was it used to tow the space shuttles to the launch pads????

Seems like one or the other would have gone further than 170,000 miles.
:)

Well I got it from south Carolina and it sat in my backyard for years and when I actually got to working on it like 7 years later I had to drop in a transmission, transfer case, bla bla then I find out that since it sat so long the crankshaft rusted and worn out so bad and then I had to get it overhauled so It's got the new heart and trans but damn it's been expensive
