2000 Tahoe Center Console Lid

This may be a dumb question but does anyone know how to remove the center console lid on a 2000 Tahoe w/o breaking it? It has a keyed lock with no key, so Id like to take it to a locksmith to get either a key or a new cylinder installed. Thanks in advance!

There is a number next to the key hole. You can order the key precut on ebay for like 10 bucks

Really? Yes there is a number on the lid but I went to a locksmith and he had no idea what it meant, so I didn't think it would do any good. also went to GM and they acted like I was just simple. Where on eBay would I go to order a key?
