I have a 2000 yukon XL v8 4x4 w/ dual fuel tanks.

I was driving down the highway and run out of fuel with 1/4 tank of fuel. Changed fuel filter and still wouldnt start. checked fuel pressure and was zero.

I have dropped the fuel tank and pulled the feul pump. I am only getting the 5v and no 12v. checked at the plug and before the plug at the wires with test light. I tested the relay and its ok. i bypassed the relay and still didnt get power at the pump. I cant find the second relay for the transfer pump.

What do i do next? Am i missing something? Please help if you can!!!

Thank you!!
Lewis

Well, i worked on it a bit today and am still not sure where the second relay is for the transfer pump so i tested every relay i could find and they were all good same with all fuses under the hood and dash.

I was told that if the oil sensor is bad or if there is no oil pressure the computer will shut off the fuel pump. Tomorrow I will install the pump and fueal tank and jump the pump with 12v and start the truck to test for oil pressure (if it starts).

I will take any advise i can get.

Thanks,
Lewis

I installed the new fuel pump with a jumper wire on the green wire to the pump so i could test the pump for 12v after I installed the tank and still no power. I disconnected the fuel line from the fuel rail and gave the pump 12v and no fuel came out. I can hear the pump running. I am going to do the same thing after i disconnect the fuel filter and see if im getting fuel to the filter. I still dont know why im not getting power to the pump.

Please help! I have no idea what im doing!

P0452 - Evaporative Emission system pressure sensor switch low inpute
P0108 - Manifold Absolute Pressure/BARO Sensor High Inpute

I disconnected the fuel filter and no fuel pumps out when i turn the pump on!
