2001 Tahoe LS PROBLEMS help?

Powertrain Control Module. (Aka engine computer, brain, etc.) Its under hood, drivers side fender. You will see a box with a bunch of wiring harnesses plugging into it. Its near your fusebox under the hood.

The hard part is to question my mechanic without pissing him off.

If he gives you any shit then just tell him he works for you and you can end that immediately if he doesnt like it. You know how many mechanics there are in the u.s. ? It sounds like electrical is not their strong suit anyway.
