So, I am trying to install a new turn signal switch in my 2002 Tahoe. My husband ordered the wrong part, for one without cruise control. So now that I have re-installed the original part I am having issues that weren't there before... I now have no headlights, even when I manually turn them on, and I have no turn signals. I do however have emergency flashers and my wipers work (as well as they did before, only the spray fuction will make them come on). Any suggestions on how I can fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.

okay yer referring to the actual lever on the column yer replacing and you got the wrong part so youve put the faulty one back in?
what were the original issues to call for the replacementt?
and you say you have no head lights do your daytime running headlights still work?

The handle was loose, broken somewhere inside of the mechanism, and I couldn't turn on my wipers and leave them on. Could only turn on the spray and have short bursts of wiper action. Otherwise everything worked well enough... blinkers, and switching from high to low beams.

I now only have parking lights... no headlights at all, even if I manually turn them on with the switch on the dash (next to the 4wd buttons)

okay its possible when you reinstalled the old part you mite have damaged a wiring harness or sheered a wire causing a short and blew a fuse or two so id go through all yer fuses under the hood and on the side of the dash
thats about the best explanation i can think of having never takin apart my stearing column before

Ok, I just went through the fuses on the side of the dash and they seem to be all good. Next task will be under the hood.

From a personal stand point, if you don't have to take it apart, then don't! Lol This has turned into a huge headache, where before it was very minor.
