I have a 2003 YD with 228k miles. The fluid looks red and smells clean and I want to get it up to date and know when all my maintenance has been done going forward. I will be dropping the pan to replace the trans filter. I'd like some input on what all I should do while I'm in there.

Jay had a nice post in this thread.

I understand some of it but not all. I found the sonnax .490 online and will be ordering it soon.

As for the accumulator pistons, should I just replace them both (only 2 right?) while I'm in there?

The separator plate looks straight forward enough as well, looking at the part online.

For the PWM, is the transgo SK4L60E what I want or is there just the delete valve available? I don't have a ton to spend.

Right now it like to rev to 3000 rpm when shifting at 25 mph. I can't tell which gear that is, so I'm not sure what is having trouble. And again, I don't know the maintenance history.

Is there anything else I should do to maximize the lif of this machine?
