That’s a ton of work and parts replacements! My Z71 is 2 years newer than yours with similar miles. I’ve replaced the shocks, tires, brake pads, compressor, a blend door actuator, plugs, front ring & pinion (a problem I caused), all emission control parts except lines, light bulbs and encoder ring. That’s all!

I need to repair the DIC display and replace a window regulator and a door speaker. For some reason the OEM FM section of the Bose radio/NAV no longer works (antenna cable under the hood is connected). I live in the south and the truck has virtually no undercarriage rust despite lots of trips off road in the mud and boat launching. I’d love to have it repainted but might be too expensive for me (retired).

Something that occasionally happens..
I turn my truck off, key out, i open the door to get out, after a few seconds my rear fan blower kicks on until i put the key back in cycle power on/off again.
Maybe an issue with my blower? or aux power? I replaced my ignition switch already.

In the past my head unit would stay powered on, i had to run power for my head unit to an accessory tow connection near my brake pedal, it turns on and off strictly with the key.. no delayed on until door opens to turn off.. maybe related?

I had something similar. The door open ding would continue as I started to get out with the key already out. I did the ignition switch. Still did it intermittently. Did the tumbler case and problem solved.

Thanks for the tip its worth a try, I have a new tumbler to put in but haven't yet because I have to look into matching my key I don't want to mess it up.

Also yesterday my front fan stopped running, have to check if its the resistor or blower or both and replace.

There is a new harness that should be done with the resistor and I would just do it all if blower is original.

Replaced my windshield today, the top edge was completely rusty and nasty. When it was out I cleaned it up, and the windshield guy sealed it up nice should stop the little bit of water that's been leaking in. Gonna tint the windshield.

Replaced my blower resistor, and ended up replacing the blower too. The original that came out was a bosch.. the new ACdelco part I bought says H-N and made in Korea, not too happy about that, hope it lasts.

Also replaced my passenger seat cover my wife is happy.

Changed the oil yesterday w/ mobil high mileage and filter, may regret how tight I put my filter on when I go to change it next, had a rough day wasn't focusing just cranking away.
Also changed my oil cooler block plate gasket with a felpro gasket, interesting it was thin and all metal, but I don't see a drip of oil collecting at the bottom of my filter anymore.

Also painted my lower valence black
I am doing a 2500hd front end soon with new powder coated bumper, bumper pad, and grille
Was curious about my tow hooks and wondering what their fate will be during the conversion If i can keep them in there when my bumper is dropped 1.75"
Just now noticing they are sitting at slightly different heights from eachother
I guess my options are take them off, they may fit as they sit, or take out the vertical bolt and change the angle of them downward a bit.20230310_143246.jpg20230311_094913.jpg

Instead of reusing the old pot metal block off plate with a new gasket, get yourself a billet block off plate and gasket and never look back. The old pot metal plates will warp and will leak again. Like this one I used on my 02: https://www.amazon.com/Pressure-Rel...=gm+oil+cooler+block+off+plate,aps,158&sr=8-4
