Don't think it's the tune since I reverted way back to one that is known to have AC with no issues.
Its had E fans since forever and they are set to come on pretty early so the condenser stays cool. Also I have confirmed they are on when the compressor is not.
The compressor only comes on when manual activated using HPT. If I close HPT or disconnect my laptop the compressor immediately shuts off even tho the ECU is showing that the AC is being requested.
Idk that mine has an interior temp sensor besides the one on the dash for the mirror temp readout. Mine is super duper base model and just has the sliding dual climate control, no auto temp set stuff.
I'm thinking its possibly the temp sensor which I can test or shotgun replace for a few bucks. Other than that I'm not sure at this point, maybe look at the fuse box and check some relays or something.
I really dont feel like messing with it for a few days, so if anyone has good ideas on things to test I'm all ears. Gonna enjoy Japanese climate control for now.
