Don't think it's the tune since I reverted way back to one that is known to have AC with no issues.

Its had E fans since forever and they are set to come on pretty early so the condenser stays cool. Also I have confirmed they are on when the compressor is not.

The compressor only comes on when manual activated using HPT. If I close HPT or disconnect my laptop the compressor immediately shuts off even tho the ECU is showing that the AC is being requested.

Idk that mine has an interior temp sensor besides the one on the dash for the mirror temp readout. Mine is super duper base model and just has the sliding dual climate control, no auto temp set stuff.

I'm thinking its possibly the temp sensor which I can test or shotgun replace for a few bucks. Other than that I'm not sure at this point, maybe look at the fuse box and check some relays or something.

I really dont feel like messing with it for a few days, so if anyone has good ideas on things to test I'm all ears. Gonna enjoy Japanese climate control for now.

What in a tune shuts off the compressor? X amount of throttle input? X amount of RPM? X coolant temperature?

I'm wondering if you have something in the tune turned off (or on?) or scaled in such a way that it's disabling the compressor, like a failsafe.

The only thing I know of is a cutoff dependant on throttle position which mine is set to shut of at 90% and reactivate at 35%. Then there's the RPM cutoff which I have set to shut off at 4,750 and come back on at 3,500. Both of which have been set at those exact settings for well over a year. There may be another way to deactivate it but if so I'm not aware of it. I've tried searching for "ultimate ac settings" in HPT before thinking there was some minor hacks for optimum ac or maybe even guidelines on whats considered safe or not but I can't seem to find anything.

Yeah there's an ac pressure sensor in the drier, I replaced it last time the system was open since I replace the drier everytime. I'm leaning towards it being that sensor so I guess I'll order an OEM one instead of a jing gong goy one like whats in it now.

oh uh yes but no, instead of showing a pressure reading it just shows voltage from 1-5v. I suppose I could change the parameters to readout psi but I'm not sure what algorithm I'd use. I suppose if its showing voltage that might tell me something as well, here's a snippet of when I had the compressor manually turned on with HPT.

yea my bad didnt realize thats all you had to go on. dont know that doesnt really tell you anything.
log it koeo, running compressor off, running compressor on, unplugged and see what voltage it shows for each to get an idea.
in my truck you can just log the pressure reading from the sensor - recently had a sensor just showing 100psi when i completely removed it from the port

the range on it is like 0-500psi i think so it may think the pressure in the system is high af
