Better wrap that thumb up!

Yes mother.

Oh hell I forgot about the thumb so yeah glad that’s healing good. Too bad an engine can’t self heal, that would be awesome.

It's honestly been 99.9% painless since the stitches.

Pulled the firewall insulation down and I so badly want to clean the engine bay it's just not possible while it's in my shop.

I just cleaned up my front undercarriage since the diff is out. It’s in my driveway though- I don’t have a big old garage or shop like you rich folks. Plus I washed the little bit of ash that’s fallen on it in the last few days. Now if I can just get parts delivered. Stupid smoke.

Can't get parts because of a little camp fire? That's really annoying I'm hoping mine come this weekend.

Bad part about my tin can shop is the idiot that built it sloped the slab away from the doors so it floods very easy. Absolutely cannot bring a hose in there Haha.

Also if the idle doesn't have the sound Im looking for with the crazy quiet exhaust that's in it now it will have to get some changes.

I've considered getting a catless Y pipe but it already smells of unburnt fuel and I don't want to make it worse. I think it has a set of highflow cats now or they are dummy cats, either way my current y pipe is all V bands and I love V bands!

Mr. Vinci has officially emailed me back and asked me some additional questions. Surprised he emailed back so quick!

Do stuttering people stutter when thinking to themselves?

They only stutter when they do.

If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?

Yes

How do you respond when someone says you're in denial, but you're not?

I plead the 5th

The guy that discovered milk- what was he doing with that cow?

Something naughty for sure.

What's the smallest bone in a goat? The terrorist :Jedi:

Are oranges named "oranges" because oranges are orange or is orange called "orange" because oranges are orange?

Orange rhymes with door hinge.

@Rocket Man Your Bromigo Mr. Vinci responded with his recommendation and it makes me feel good about using my 224/228 .600/.600 113lsa.

Thanks Dan,

So with this and the other information in mind along with your goals, my recommendation is: 578/587/222/228/114+4A built on our “rapid ramp” lobe profile. Preferred range: 2700 to 6700. This combination will provide about 85 plus HP and like torque. It will have a pretty aggressive idle which can be adjusted to be rougher or smoother via HP tuners. Street manners should be very good because of our exclusive ramp profiles. While I could easily push the lift up over the .600” mark, tests have proven the factory heads just won’t flow much more when the lift is higher than .585” so why forfeit valvetrain longevity? Also, while extending duration is easily accomplished, it is a daily driver, not a weekend drag truck. Some common sense must be used when specing out cams for this purpose. Since all of our US 5150 steel billet cams are built on CNC’s, our cam specs are pretty easily adjusted. If there is a reason you feel you needed more lift, a duration change or LSA modification, it’s is easily accomplished.

Let me know what you think. I’ll be honest with you with my answers.

Regards,

Although my cam is not exactly what he speced it is very close in many ways. The lift is marginally different and if I do eventually end up with better heads the cam won't be lacking in lift. The exhaust duration is the same and the intake is only off by 2 which would warrant a slightly more aggressive idle in the Vinci cam but would be tamed out a tad by the wider 114lsa. So I think my choice is good and I will certainly consult him in the future.

Also I should add I'm not a cam guru at all, the above guesstimation is just my thoughts after reading a book and many internet posts about it. Please don't take any of my babble as fact.
