I ended up paying a little expedite fee. They still haven't finished the motor for my silverado and it's been since you started your project lol.
Got the heads back! The machine shop talked me into replacing the LS6 2 piece sodium filled valves with stainless valves along with replacing the valve seals so they are basically brand new heads.
All I can do untill parts arrive is done.
-The 224/228 cam is in
-The head bolt holes have been cleaned with an arp thread chaser.
-The block deck has been cleaned but I will do a final clean before the gaskets go on.
-I fixed up the grounds on the back of the block they were pretty narly looking.
-Lifter and trays are back in
I think that's about it. I need to get a cam retaining plate tomorrow along with oil and coolant so that's ready Sunday.
Anyone looking for a 212/218 high lift cam?
