According to Rock Auto that one in the picture is for a 2004 but they could be wrong.
I can take my plastic off and snap a picture for you tomorrow if ya like. There is no fpr on the rails or intake manifold on the 04 6.0

That's OK, I believe you. Kind of makes sense since GM made quite a few parts unserviceable in the years right after mine. Kind of sucks to have to pull the gas tank if the fpr goes. Too bad. Mine was leaking pressure off and I was able to buy a service kit for $10 that had all the O-rings and screen and fixed it right up in a half hour.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to this, I have had a lot of "life" happen recently, so I am just now getting around to servicing this thing. Will keep you posted on what I find.

I followed my fuel lines for as much of them as I can see along the drivers side frame rail, and I don't see a filter anywhere. When you look online at the parts stores, they all show a typical looking fuel filter for an 04 Denali, but I am reading on some other forums that the filter is in the damn tank. Can anyone confirm this? I sure hope it isn't....

Hmmm I know this post is old but I have a 2004 Flex fuel and my filter is external. Driver side along the frame rail.

Did he ever find out what his problem was?
