Hey guys.

My first post on the forum.

I wanted to ask a question regarding my 2004 Yukon.

I've owned my '04 Yukon SLT since new. It's completely stock except
for wheels/tires. It came new with 17" wheels and I up-sized them to
20" years ago around 2012. Around 2013, I parked the Yukon in
my shop where it sat for bout 6 years, never driven or started.

About 18-24 months ago I decided I wanted to drive it again. I added
fuel treatment and replaced the battery in it. It turned over twice and
fired right up. All the seals intact, no leaking tranny fluid or radiator
fluid.

But, here's the deal. Now it tracks on ruts in the road wanting to dart left/right,
sometimes it shakes/vibrates at highway speeds. This issue has caused me not to
want to drive it until something is done with it and only time I drive it is once/week
if that much to keep battery charged going to grocery store and that's it.

It has 113,000 miles on it. The ball joints seem fine. What could be the issue??
I know I need to replace the tires on it. Their Michelin's with lifetime warranty
from Discount Tire and have a lot of tread left. Their not weather cracked or anything
but have been mounted since 2012.

What does it need? Or what could be the issue. Discount tire did balance the wheels/tires
but no help. I had front end aligned, no help.

Thanks in advance.

Are you saying it did not do this before you parked it? And now, even with tire balance and alignment it does the shimmy shakes?

Does it matter what speed you are going?

Is the vibration only at 55mph or can you feel it at 10mph?

Power steering have issues?

It didn't track, and no, no vibration before. The vibration starts happening
60+ mph.

In a roadway that has ruts in the pavement or uneven pavement it tracks;
suddenly wants to dart left/right uneven pavement or rutty pavement.

It doesn't happen smooth surface.

Just curious was the fuel six years old? How much was in the tank? Did you run the fuel near empty before storing it? I let mine sit for one year turned the key and it started right up and stayed running just like I never stored it at all. No priming or anything just turned the key started in two seconds.

Yes, I ran it low on fuel and parked it. I had also added some fuel stabilizer when it was parked as well.

5-6 years later, I added Seafoam, premium fuel (5 gal), new battery.

Turned over twice and fired right up like it was yesterday when it was parked.
