Over the weekend I installed that foam piece in the trunk, I pulled out the carpet vacuumed behind it and discovered that the spare tire was the wrong size, the pre 06 cars had 16’s and mine had 17’s off the 06-11 cars so I just assumed they upgraded the spare but never did but I have a new OEM Ford 17” wheel in the box just need to get a tire mounted on it, I’ve tried cleaning the carpet if I find a cleaner set I’ll swap it out down the road

I’ve been debating getting a set of the OEM Ford silicone radiator hoses and finally pulled the trigger on a mint sent it’s complete down to the clamps, these were an option that some departments opted for, they are basically a lifetime hose being silicone they take the added abuse of police work and rarely ever have issues with them unless they get punctured somehow so figured it was a worthwhile modification to do in terms of reliability, I’m missing one hose but when he finds a clean one he will send it out, I’m planning on doing these in the spring when I change the oil next.

Do they still sell them new? I remember those were big in the Fox body Mustangs when I was a kid.

I bet it's a handful in the snow. Aren't they light in the rear, without all the equiptment in the trunk?

I had a couple Mustang’s in the past and in the rain if you hammered on it the rear end would spin and kick out on you, the Crown Vic has a lil more weight in the rear I think having the gas tank above the rear end helps, you can hammer it in the rain and it never spins just gotta watch out for puddles so you don’t hydroplane, I’ve driven the Vic in the snow a couple times when we had 2-4” inches before they salted and sanded the shit outta the roads and it honestly wasn’t too bad aslong as your easy on the gas, anything over 4 inches I wouldn’t even try it I mainly don’t drive it I the snow due to how much sand me salt they dump on the roads the underneath of the car is very clean has literally no rust I might do that New Hampshire oil undercoating next year so I don’t have to worry about it as much during the winter
