It is always in 2wd unless sensors detect wheel slippage. The top button turns off Stablitrac and keeps it in 2wd but you have to push the button every time you start the truck. It usually never goes in 4x4 even on jeep tracks. In order to shift into full time 4x4 you have to be in N
