Hey guys couldn’t find anything related to the NBS platform on this. I need to pick up a trailer brake controller this week. Is there a controller specific to the 2003-2006 platform? I have the harness that came with my truck for it, now just need to order one. What are you guys using?

trailer brake controllers pretty much are plug and play as long as you have a 7 pin plug out back. read the controllers box make sure its a gm and for your year, it plugs in up under the dash in a block of other plugs. theres a diagram with most controllers and the plugs only gonna fit in one place.

So I could search GM controller for my year and it’ll pop up?

Yeah uh huh, I have no trailer equipment sales in big bear. That would require a trip off the mountain. Was thinking to order one online so I don’t have to spend the gas to drive down the mountain. Was really just looking for someone to chime in with what brand they really like that works well.

took a closer look at mine, its a draw tight. have not used it yet myself, and i really think it was a dealer installed item as my hitch looks to never had a receiver inside it.

On my 04 I use a Tekonsha Prodigy P2. You specify the vehicle when you order the controller and they will send you the right wiring. Should plug rignt in. There is a black plastic cover on the floor underneath the brake pedal, you can remove that cover by unscrewing a plastic nut. The truck end of the plastic connector is there, connect that then connect the other end to your brake controller and you're all set.

Only problem is where to put the controller. I put mine on the right side of the steering wheel but it's too close to the steering wheel so I have to push my seat back or my knee will hit it.
