I've got an 2006 Yukon XL 2500 with the 6.0L. Since the week before christmas I've been having an intermittent stalling issue with the engine. My wife was driving it and took off at an intersection and said that it died on her and she pulled over, turned it off and it immediately restarted.
Its normally my boat towing vehicle so it sits a majority of the time, so I started driving it to see if the issue would present itself again. For me what happened once every couple days is that I would seem like the engine would cut off for a split second and you'd feel a shutter/jerk, and then it'd pick back up again like nothing happened. Seemed to do it around 45-65 mph range.
Ended up lending the car to a buddy this past week and over the weekend if actually did the same thing as it did for my wife, completely died around 45mph, but still had dash power and everything and when he got to the side of the road, he turned it off and it started right back up again.
No check engine codes or check engine lights have ever come on. The only thing on the dash is a service airbag warning that I haven't gotten scanned yet, but none of this engine issue was noticeably before that light came on, so not sure if they are related or not.
I was kind of thinking fuel issue, or maybe plugs/wires, but not I'm wondering if its a bad ground connection. I have a battery that is only like 6 months old so I think that's fine. I don't want to just start throwing parts at it but i'm also not sure where to check. Any insight/thoughts would be appreciated.
