2007+ Door handle how to....
1. Use flat head screw driver to remove clip in lock button.
After removing clip pull straight up to remove.
2. Use a flat head screw driver to remove panel behind inside door handle and pull handle.
3. Remove the 3 10mm bolts behind the panels you just removed.
4. Remove top corner of panel (behind mirror) by hand or with trim removal tool.
5. Remove and unplug power window/lock switch with screw driver or trim removal tool.(be careful if using a screw driver)
6. Remove the door panel (it is easier to start under the mirror)
7. Disconnect the inside handle after removing the door panel.
8. Remove the lower plug in door to access bolts in door handle.
9. Remove the 2 10mm bolts for outside door handle.
10. Move the door handle out to access the lock and handle rods. The GM manual says to remove inside the door but I found this way to be much easier.
11. Remove the lock cylinder from old handle and install in new handle.(removing the clip all the way is easiest)
12. Take some time before installing the handle to clean the door. Now reinstall the new handle and hook up rods.
13. Install and tighten bolts in new handle.
14. Before reinstalling the door panel make sure to replace rubber plug and make sure the bolt inserts line up. (Make sue it doesn't look like the picture below)
15. Reinstall door panel, plug in all wires and snap bolt covers back on.
16. Repeat on 3 more doors. (Rear doors only have 2 10mm bolts in door panel)
17. Stand back and enjoy your work.
