2007 Tahoe/Weird clunking when gas is pressed

Got a 2007 Chevy Tahoe with 177Xxx , When I’m driving on the highway & I let off the gas and repress it, it will make a weird clunk noise.
I’ve searched everywhere online and can’t find anything about it.
its only when I’m in drive and it only does it sometimes.
sometimes it has a delay when I press the gas and then when I end up having power.

Where do you hear the noise? In front of you, under you or behind you? If in front, I agree with @CaptainAmerica1 and think it could be motor mounts. If under you, then may be trans mount. If behind you it could be diff gear slap or...

Can you feel it? In the steering wheel, under your butt, in the floorboard at your feet?

Do you know how to check for the engine mounts?

I have a clunk in mine as well that I have been chasing. Its only when I accelerate from a stop light for me thou, mine is definitely in the rear end somewhere. Hope my control arm bushings, or whatever they are called, are good.

At highway speed? He must be hammering the hell out of it. I can only feel mine thump on a hard accel from a dead stop.

Your rig takes the same rear control arms, upper and lower, as @TollKeeper 06 Escalade, in post #8. If the noise is in the rear. Have not heard from you yet where the noise appears to be coming from. Secret?
