Thanks for the info . Not going to drive it like I stole it. Looking ti swap with 6.0 engine from 8th digit K truck/suburban. After Christmas, thats when this will start. Also looking to do a VVT delete. Figured I get a tune but damned if anyone i TN knows any good dyno tuners. Never done mail order and a bit leery of that since I have never done it. I realize we lots on here with black bear tune which i realize you can get close but how close?
The 4L80E with gear vendors is the next step.

Any time. Haha, I gatcha. I'm hoping to be doing the same thing and hope my 4l60 holds up. I plan on doing an 80 swap soon after.
No idea about the vin codes, mine says GEN IV 6.0 on the front of the block. I plan on bumping it to a 6.2 and also deleting the VVT.
I'm with you about mail order tuning but, BB has a great reputation as does PCM of NC.
Ooooooohhhh Gear Vendors, very nice. Why are going to add the GV OD?

LOL, that would be sweet with 6.2L in her. Well long story short, I had to sell my 2013 crew cab to pay for my wifes immigration lawyer. So i ended up with this yukon, when she was running I loved it. While not a truck its sweet as for traveling. While I have a 28 footer travel trailer, the Yukon struggled to tow her So when the motor went out at the worst time I have been at battle stations just to get it back on the road. Since the 6.0L is almost a straight swap was no brainer to upgrade to that while I can build another down the road. GV OD Just a great option for towing and fuel econmy and easier to do than 6L80E. Lots of the big tour buses and motor homes have GV installed and work great so I can have best of both worlds. Yukon was never going to be a hot rod or anything just wanted it to get out of its own way...LOL Since its paid for I can do little odds and ends on it.

Are you getting a long block?
Mine was a short block. I'm actually not even sure I can use it. It was supposedly a flood motor, when in all actuality it had a spun cam bearing. The sh*t head covered it with bearing grease and called it a flood motor.
I'm going to try and bring it to the machine shop before X-Mas if not it'll be at the beginning of the year. Enough time to save a few bucks for the build.
I agree, my 5.3 had a hard time pulling an 18' enclosed trailer. Having the bigger cubes will definitely help and having the GVOD will be awesome to tow for you as well. Heck, there are 1000hp drag cars using them to never mind all the production RVs and buses haha.
Mine will be a little bit of a hot rod, nothing big stock 6.2 build, just want a reliable family hauler that can haul to, hah.

Just hate people that do that crap. Me havent bought it yet, found a used motor with 63k miles. thought that would last til I put together a new motor. I was looking to do 7.0L. I still want to but I think i should save that for my 50 pontiac...lol

50 Pontiac was to replace the 95 trans am I had in Australia (long story) it was a 383 beast with a rear mounted turbo that laid 531 horses to the pavement. When my 3rd girl was born, the chicken had to go. its only a 4 seater. Picked up a 50 pontiac so we all could go and do cruises and car shows and the wife likes all that rock a billy crap. it at the moment has a 305 with 700R4 in it. runs good but cant get out of its own way. Was thinking a stock 7.0L would be just fine. No trans am by any means but at least it could move a bit. Car is on a 84 Buick regal chassis and has power steering. its a 10 footer car, Looks great from 10 feet but when get close yo see the blemishes which I dont care, I have cars to drive not to be trailer queens. Looking to do the interiror as its horrible so been looking for a MAN-LY sewing machine...lol
If I could ever figure out how to attach a photo I post one up.

Sorry guys have been MIA for a bit
Still no further on the 6.0, seems everything keeps popping and Ill never get ahead. Baby girl has to have hearing aids and that takes priority at the moment. You know if anyone has a 6.0 for a 2007 or newer they want to donate it wouldnt hurt my feelings...LOL So for the time being I have I have to rent a car to get caught up and get the yukon running to maybe trade it in for a 2005 to 2006 sub or yukon XL.
