2008 Chevrolet Tahoe gas keeps clicking off every few seconds.

So my 2008 Chevy Tahoe everytime. I go to pump gas in it clicks off every few seconds so it’s take forever to fill up. I’ve replaced the vapor vent valve canister,the charcoal box , and the purge valve. Can someone tell me what to do next besides taking it to a dealership.

I believe you need to blow all the lines out? Charcoal gets sucked in and blocks air flow

Or the purge solenoid takes a dump. It's right under the hood, LH (driver) side of motor by intake. Pull off and blow through it powered off, it should be closed. Then apply 12v to it and see if you can blow through it. If it's bad, use only GM OE parts, or you'll get the joy of doing it twice

Purge valve was replaced, according to the initial post. And the purge valve will NOT cause any issues with filling up the tank. But if it's stuck open or intermittent, it could cause a hard start by allowing fuel vapors into the intake.

Blow out the evap lines.

Just repaired this issue. If you didn’t vacuum/ blow out your lines, then you need to. I followed this video an fixed my inability to fill gas tank

I started with the vapor vent valve and it got a little better. I did the rest as you did and it got a little better. Ultimately, pulling the tank and replacing the 11 year old fuel pump, sender, wiping all the pellets from the tank and blowing all the lines again cured the fueling issue.

All that occurred over a 6 Mo period and, thank God, I ran into the post about the carbon pellets or I would have been extorted by the dealership. That carbon canister kills 4-5 other parts. Thankfully the forum saves us the diagnostic costs.

It’s a pita to deal with but if you get all your OEM parts from RockAuto, use an Indi or DIY, your good for another 100k and you’ll have a gas gauge that is crazy accurate.
